Asymmetric flow networks

چکیده
This paper provides a new model of network formation that bridges the gap between the two benchmark models by Bala and Goyal, the one-way ow model, and the two-way ow model, and includes both as particular extreme cases. As in both benchmark models, in what we call an asymmetric ownetwork a link can be initiated unilaterally by any player with any other, and the ow through a link towards the player who supports it is perfect. Unlike those models, in the opposite direction there is friction or decay. When this decay is complete there is no ow and this corresponds to the one-way ow model. The limit case when the decay in the opposite direction (and asymmetry) disappears, corresponds to the two-way ow model. We characterize stable and strictly stable architectures for the whole range of parameters of this intermediate and more general model. We also prove the convergence of Bala and Goyals dynamic model in this context. Identifying and Analyzing Stop and Go Traffic based on Asymmetric Theory of Driving Behavior in Acceleration and Deceleration
Stop and go traffic that leads to oscillate traffic flow frequently is observed on congestion flow. Unexpected reasons such as lane – changing maneuvers, lower speeds of leader vehicle and moving bottleneck cause stop and go traffic and amplifying delay and environment impacts. Stop and go traffic exactly can’t be modeled by traffic models, and also car following models based on kinematic flow ...
متن کاملEntropy Generation In an Unsteady MHD Channel Flow With Navier Slip and Asymmetric Convective Cooling
The combined effects of magnetic field, Navier slip and convective heating on the entropy generation in a flow of a viscous incompressible electrically conducting fluid between two infinite horizontal parallel plates under a constant pressure gradient have been examined. Both the lower and upper plates of the channel are subjected to asymmetric convective heat exchange with the ambient fluid. T...
متن کاملSimulation of Heat and Chemical Reactions on Peristaltic Flow of a Williamson Fluid in an Inclined Asymmetric Channel
This work concerns the peristaltic flow of a Williamson fluid model in an inclined asymmetric channel under combined effects of heat and mass transfer. The governing nonlinear partial differential equations are simplified under the lubrication approach and then solved analytically and numerically. The analytical results are computed with the help of regular perturbation and the numerical re...

متن کاملInfluence of Induced Magnetic Field and Partial Slip on the Peristaltic Flow of a Couple Stress Fluid in an Asymmetric Channel
This paper describes the effects of induced magnetic field and partial slip on the peristaltic flow of a couple stress fluids in an asymmetric channel. The two dimensional equation of couple stress fluid are simplified by making the assumptions of long wave length and low Reynolds number. The exact solutions of reduced momentum equation and magnetic force function have been computed in wave...
